Facilities and HS&E Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project Management support for Building and Equipment requirements
  • Develop and sustain building and equipment maintenance practices and systems.
  • Schedule and document routine and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Plan and execute non-routine maintenance/repair activities.
  • Supervise maintenance department personnel.
  • Formulate policies and procedures to insure adherence to environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Formulate policies and procedures to insure compliance with health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
  • Drive the execution of an effective incident reporting and analysis process providing effective root cause analysis, actions that prevent recurrence, lessons learned, and quality data
  • Develop facilities budget and monitor monthly performance.
  • Key contributor and active participant on safety committee.
  • Provide management reports as required on maintenance, facilities, and environmental compliance.
  • Fully support Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility including Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Develop, track, and publish maintenance department performance metrics.


  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Experience with maintenance management software (e.g. MicroMain)
  • Knowledge of environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with complex electrical and mechanical systems/equipment with demonstrated knowledge of building codes, permitting, and facilities related regulations

Education/Previous Experience 

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Required 5+ years’ experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and building systems
  • Required 5+ years’ experience in administration of regulatory compliance programs
  • Prior experience in process improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma
  • Experience managing projects / action plans.
  • Bilingual English strongly preferred
